Speak.Act.Change Program Information
In the United States, 26% of the population is under the legal voting age. Teens may not be able to vote but they can still take an active role in ensuring that young people everywhere have the tools they need to protect themselves against dating violence.
The Speak.Act.Change: Youth Advocacy Kit provides a variety of fun, challenging and thought-provoking service-learning activities. Through participation in Speak.Act.Change, teens will:
- Raise awareness about dating violence, an epidemic affecting one in three teens.
- Strengthen their peer leadership skills and other positive developmental assets.
- Become the next generation of anti-violence advocates.
Before launching any violence prevention activism project, it is important to make sure all participants are well versed on the subject matter being addressed. Speak.Act.Change is designed to complement Break the Cycle’s [Ending Violence] curriculum. If [Ending Violence] is not available, please use another dating violence prevention curriculum before participating in this program.
